Aruba SpA, founded in 1994, is the first company in Italy for Data Center, cloud, web hosting, e-mail, PEC and domain registration
services and has extensive experience in the creation and management of Data Centers, having a network active at European level:
in addition to proprietary Data Centers - 3 already active in Italy and one arriving by 2020, plus another in the Czec...
Aruba. It is the very first web services company in Italy, and they are still going strong. They opened in 1994 and has grown and advanced over the years. They offer a number of services including hosting, domain registration, e-security and more.
The company currently hosts over two million domains, 6 million email boxes and over 20,000 servers. This is spread across over 2 million customers. They continue to work hard to keep up to date with the latest technologies in all of these areas, and are dedicated to the long term success of the company and their customers.
Uptime & Reliability
Good hosting with no clear guarantee
I was not able to find a set uptime guarantee, or even a list of their past performance on their site. The site is not in English by default, however, and the translation did not come across extremely well. It is possible that they list some information about it but I wasn’t able to find where.
Despite that, I did not find any customers complaining of frequent downtime or anything, so this likely is not an issue. I would not be concerned because of the fact that they do seem to focus on high quality hardware and data centers.
You’ll get everything you need
This company has a lot of different hosting packages to choose from. They seem to really push combining their hosting with their other services, which some people may see as a negative. For example, they offer hosting plus email management. Most hosting companies include email support as a standard feature, but Aruba.IT seems to want to charge extra for it.
They have Linux and Windows servers available, which is nice (if you looking for the best WordPress hosting click here). They also include a domain name with just about every package. The bottom line here is that they have everything you’ll need to get your site up and hosted properly, even if it is sometimes confusing.
24/7 technical support
They really don’t provide too much information about the technical support they offer. It is there 24/7, which is good. They have a phone number listed, but little else. It seems like they have a ticketing system as well, but I could not confirm that.
Slightly over priced
The prices they offer are higher than what you would expect to see. It seems like they bump their prices up and try to include other services in the packages to justify it (such as the email or DNS management). The prices are not so far out of the ordinary that they will be a major problem for most companies, but it is still a concern.
A nice option if you know what you need
This company seems to provide a very nice service, as long as you know exactly what you need. With so many different options available it can be confusing. Especially with how they organize everything it can be even worse. Those who don’t know a lot about hosting will undoubtedly get confused as to which of their many packages is the right one for them.
I tried, to reserver a PEC email, and after 2 weeks, it wasn't validated even tho the payment was done, and we didn't receive any update. We contacted the support about it, and they asked us to re-fill our order on a PDF, after doing this they asked us additional information and private documents, 3 days forward, i receive this direct email (not using the ticketing service we have been using before that):
From: 'Aruba PEC' via ~redacted~ Date: Wed, Sep 1, 2021 Subject: Casella PEC ~firstname.lastname@example.org non disponibile To:
Casella PEC ~email@example.com non disponibile ----
This is supposed to be a professional service... And the domain is still in "activation" on our account so this make absolutely no sens.
i am using ARUBA CLOUD since 2017 as VPS customer and i found that if i got the problem then their will be no one who can provide you customer care. there is always lack of interest for the existing customers as i have a issue that the dashboard of VPS is not showing server since 100 hours and nobody resolve this and i am trying to upgrade the service from centos7 to centos8 and my managed server is not be able to restart or even set to be off
reporting this problem i got first response after 60-65 hours and than after this i am waiting to get any other response about my problem
Tempting price but zero support for when things go wrong (which they inevitably will with a buggy interface).
We've lost access through the control panel to two servers hosted with Aruba. We are still being charged for these servers but technical support tickets are marked as 'rejected' by them without any response or help on the matter.
Do not put any sensitive or data you can't afford to lose on their machines and, if you must use them, then only top up with the minimum amount.
I got the 1Euro VPS, and it runs good with good uptime and support. Some of the support tools open in Italian, but you can select English from dropdown menu. I have had to contact support only once, and got a good response (in English) and problem was cleared.
BE AWARE !!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IN THEIR SERVICES
I'm into websites since 15 years, I've been customer of many different hosting companies and I can tell you that ARUBA is the worst. I pay for a hosting with domain about 3 years ago, now I transfered the domain somewhere else but they were supposed to keep my data in the hosting. NO! They delete all of my files hosted in their servers JUST AFTER 2 DAYS MY DOMAIN WAS TRANSFERED.
When you transfer a domain name somewhere else, the company always keep the hosting with all of your files since you've paid for it, BUT THEY DIDN'T! And they reply me saying that there is no way to retrive anything anymore.
