Baltic Servers are a Lithuanian based web hosting company who specialise in high-end server hosting. You will find dedicated hosting, smart hybrid servers and SSD hosting amongst many of their service features. If you are looking for your typical shared hosting plan, and cheap prices you won’t find them here, but if you are a large-scale business, then step right in.
Strong Backbone for Your Websites
There is a page dedicated to the data centre at the heart of the Baltic servers, and the centre is owned by Baltic themselves which fills you with plenty of confidence, let alone the fact they have been in business since the early part of the millennium. The technology is high-end and the engineers are all fully qualified and skills to support technical matters that arise.
Backing their reliability up is a 30-day money back guarantee.
Top of The Range Features
On the homepage of the site Baltic Servers showcase the plans that get the most attention and these are your special deals. 2 x E5-2670v3 plan will give you everything from 2CPUx, 12 Cores, 64GB of ECC DDR4 RAM and as much as 3Gbps/10Gbps unmetered. For slightly scaled back plans you will be offered Hybrid solutions which provide 16GB of ECC DRIII RAM, 4 Cores and 2x3TB SATA III drives.
Solid as a Baltic Rock
A live chat facility is available on the site and pops up on your right hand side, you will also be able to contact Baltic through various other methods which include social media platform such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, whilst also benefiting from USA, UK, Russian and Lithuanian telephone numbers.
A direct email address is also present.
Expensive but Well Worth Investing
The guys and girls at Baltic are targeting the larger tier companies out there, and because of this you will find that prices aren’t going to be for those on a tight budget or those that want something cheap. For instance, the Quad Hybrid packages start at $50, whilst other plans are in the range of $111 per month up to $467 per month on average.
A Pleasure to Use
Most of the hosting companies that provide a high-spec solution for hosting, generally aren’t the easiest to follow for navigation and usability. Baltic are completely the opposite and offer just the information that you need to know, and for any further reading or resources they make use of the footer area which houses areas for clients, partners, services and information about the company.
One Host You Can’t Overlook
For the big companies out there you can’t go wrong with checking out Baltic servers. Yes they may be based in Lithuania but they offer a service that really does excel in most areas. The prices are good value for what you are getting and so too are the features and tools that come with the plans. Support, reliability and usability all fill you with confidence that these guys can give you everything you need in a host.
Great product with weird staffs and account managers
We tried their dedicated servers for around 2 weeks. They are cheaper and have a bandwidth close to 2gbps(promised 3gbps, still good) But we faced multiple issues from their support/sales. They throttled the bandwidth of our live servers claiming we crossed the bandwidth limit(their website say they will charge extra for additional bandwidth which is normal, but throttling live server without any notice is unheard. ) We got a DMCA notice and server is down after one hour(that is reponse time given to take action is one hour). I think CherryServers can do great if they hire people with industry experience. Their engineering and pricing is already good. Untill that never use them in production.
I had a server running a folding service, this generates at most 3 connections requests per minute. According to them this was a ddos, running a unmodded pre made folding@home client.... and my server was suspended without a refund
this company is the best in its domain their support is really 24/24 and the servers they have are very good, the internet speed and connectivity is almost the best in the word, also the prices are better than any other company >
My experience with nested virtualization (virtualbox) with Azure and AWS was not so good. So I was looking for an alternative to use virtualbox online, and this service works well. Maybe I have yet set something else about the GPU and resolution, but in general it do the job,
Detailed description of my experience. 1. I have installed Ubuntu 18 64bit without any GUI. 2. Later, via ssh, I have installed the XFCE GUI and tightvnc server. 3. Later I have connected to my Bare Metal Cherry Server (BMCS) via VNC too. So I have used ssh and vnc. About VNC I have used remmina client (with vnc plugin)
4. At this point, I have installed the classical Virtualbox5 via ssh. Inside Virtualbox5 I have created a virtual machine with 6 CPU and 16GB RAM, and I have installed Xubuntu 64bit.
I spent 4-5 hours. And almost everything works well. It was enough easy. Technical support reply enough quickly about easy problem/question.
If you are interested in nested virtualization (virtualbox_online) with cheap price, say 0.7 cent/hour, I think Bare Metal Cherry Server is a good choice, especially for linux oriented users.
About a month ago I tried CherryServers. The app I was testing is was a GPU heavy app, so I tried one of their GPU servers. From my testing I was very happy. The highlight was their great support. Overall, very happy.
I do not know how Craig reited this company at 9 points, it is a dissaster!
Unstable network, dropping packets or disconnects almost every day. Technical team answering very quick, but some of them knowledge very poor and they can do simple L1 works only. Servers are tower based, not a rack mounted! Servers are OVERPRICED! Follow the configuration and support I got, there are much better options in the market.
Sales pushing to pay upfront. If you want to try their services - PLEASE DON'T PAY LONGER THAN 1 MONTH! The advice may save lot's of money and nervous.
Thank you for your opinion, however, it is hard to agree with everything you said.
Cherry Servers offers 99,97% SLA, which allows us to have no more than ~12 minutes of downtime per month. It is extremely rare for us to breach this SLA and even if we do so, clients get compensated accordingly: https://www.cherryservers.com/service-level-agreement
Thank you for appreciating our technical support swiftness. Actually, our technical support team consists of L1, L2 and L3 engineers, out of which L1 and L2 engineers are available 24/7.
As for the servers, we are currently offering both - tower based and rack based servers.
Speaking about price, it is indeed higher than average, because we are offering exceptional customer support and many additional services. For instance, we have recently introduced DDOS scrubbing protection, SSH authentication key pairs and automated VLAN service, while our developers are working hard to bring even more functionality to the table.
Even more, we are now offering a possibility to try our servers out first and cover the bill later on within the first 48 hours of your order, so you would be 100% sure you are making a right decision.
