Net Mind is a hosting company that has been in business since 2004. They are a fairly small hosting company, and work hard to give each of their customers the personalized attention that they need. They have a total of just under 1000 customers. When it comes to hosting, they only offer shared hosting options so that is something you will want to keep in mind when evaluating this as an option.
They do also offer reseller options, domain name registration, web design services and more. This review, however, is focused on their hosting services. If you want to use them for other options, they will likely do a good job for you.
Due to the fact that they don’t overload their servers, and they have done a good job at keeping things configured properly, you won’t likely run into any issues with downtime or slowness. They don’t list any type of uptime guarantee, but that is not necessarily an issue. They did post an image from HostTest, which confirms that they tested 100% uptime as of 08/15. Of course, that is not necessarily a promise of good performance, but it does lend credibility to them.
They have two hosting packages to choose from, both being shared options. The entry level package offers up to 4 gigs of disk space, and the pro version gives 10 gigs. You can host 5 websites with the standard option and 10 with the pro. They also limit you to five and ten MySQL databases, mailing lists, cron jobs and FTP accounts respectively. That is really about all that they have to offer in terms of hosting.
The one other thing to note, however, is that due to the fact that this company only has a total of about 1000 customers, you can be confident that they are not overselling their servers. They actually make it a point to notify users that they don’t try to put all their customers on just one server, which will likely mean you get a fast overall hosting experience no matter which of their packages you choose.
The tech support provided by this company is quite easy to get in touch with. Once you’re a customer you can quickly open a ticket or send them a message to get the assistance you need. They don’t have too much documentation on their site specifically about hosting though, so that is disappointing.
The prices are listed in the Swiss Franc, but it is easy enough to convert into your local currency. While the prices aren’t outrageous, they are slightly higher than you would expect to see based on the features they provide. The entry level option is about $5.50 per month and the pro version is about $11 per month. This does include their VAT, so those are the prices you will pay.
The website is very easy to navigate and find exactly what you need. They are also easy to get in touch with for trouble tickets. It is hard to gather significant amounts of data about how user friendly this company is though because they do most of their business with local people in Switzerland who don’t post in English. From what I have been able to find, however, there appears to be no significant issues.
If you are using some of the other services provided by this company, then their hosting might be a good option to consider. If you’re strictly looking for hosting, however, you may want to turn to an alternative provider because there are better companies that can provide you better services.
