BEWARE... Unknown E-mail forwarders being added to your account leading to hacking!!
In May/June 2023 I had the misfortune of my e-mail being hacked! After checking my status with 1-Grid and logging a ticket, I happened to notice that e-mail forwarders had been added to my account without my knowledge ( I had no idea who's e-mail address it was).
When I finally managed to speak to an actual person in customer service, the attitude and complete disregard for my situation was just astonishing! Anyhow, I could go on & on but at the end of the day I was told that it was my problem & they'd be doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it (despite me providing them all the evidence). This has had severe implications on our business and I feel that anyone considering this company should rather look elsewhere.
1Grid.co.za is literally the worst company I have ever hosted with. I have once even hosted with my elderly neighbor named Jane and the service I got from her was by far superior...
Firstly, do not get fooled by their “Live Chat” – It’s about as live as a recording of the Woodstock Festival held in 1969. I waited an hour Yesterday and got useless irrelevant replies that was not helpful at all. Got about 3 responses over 60 min all asking silly things like am I the account holder and did I make sure the website has an issue. Pretending to work much? No apology for a 60 min wait time on a live chat? Come on, this is 2022, things should happen… I decided to move away to another host as I don’t have time to wait for them to train their staff to deal with customers while I wait on the other side.
I immediately signed up with another provider and 30 min later they transferred my entire Cpanel (Well done https://ivecloud.co.za/ - You guys rock!) I then requested transfer of my domains via ticket and email. The next day, I tried to follow up on their not so live chat. Low and behold, 60 min wait time only to hear the person on the other side give me false info. I asked I’m to accept the transfer and was told an agent will phone me.
A 1grid.co.za employee phones me and drops the call during verification. Guess what, did not even phone me back. I mean, why provide a service to a customer when you can rather go drink coffee? – I responded on their chat once again explaining that the person dropped the call. The 1grid.co.za char hero said someone else will phone. It’s now another hour and nobody called.
I have been with 1grid for probably 10 years. When they were called Gridhost, they offered fantastic service. They got taken over by WebAfrica in 2013 and ever since they have provided nothing but the worst service in the world. WebAfrica ruined a perfect company.
WHAT HAVE YOU ACTUALLY DONE HERE??? SEE THE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT. I HAVE LOST A FURTHER ORDER OF 20 THOUSAND RAND TODAY BECAUSE EMAILS WAS IN MY CLIENTS SPAM. I AM RECEIVING MESSAGES ON OUR FACEBOOK PAGE THAT WE DON’T GET BACK TO CUSTOMERS WHEN ACTUALLY WE HAVE BUT OUR EMAILS ARE IN THEIR SPAM. THIS IS NOW BEYOND A JOKE AND UNACCEPTABLE. GET SOMEONE ON THIS ISSUE THAT IS ACTUALLY QUALIFIED TO DEAL WITH THIS ISSUE. STOP GUESSING WHAT'S WRONG AND TRYING TO GUESS HOW TO FIX IT. YOU ARE PLAYING WITH PEOPLES LIVELIHOODS HERE. I EXPECT YOUR CALL AT 9AM SHARP WITH EITHER A PROPER SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM OR DETAILS ON HOW TO CANCEL MY ACCOUNT WITH A REFUND OF MY MONEY.

A very unethical company that debits your account with fraudulent accounts. Somebody fraudulently opened an account with my banking details and I have been debited for 2 hostings for 3 years, thinking it was my website. 1-Grid took 2 months and refusing to refund me and they keep debiting my account. Most useless and criminal bunch I've come across. They hide behind a call centre and is half of the time closed. STAY CLEAR!!
Exclusive Web Sold to 1-grid and ignored my request go cancel
They sold their company, fair enough, so I decided go cancel my account which they acknowledged. My user information was sent to 1-grid anyway (POPIA Act?!), promptly ignoring my support ticket (only way to cancel is by phone??!!! is this 1996 or 2021??) and then demanded payment with "liable admin fees for non payment"
The WORST service provider I have come across!
I will NOT recommend them at all!
No response to emails or tickets, not to mention that there is NO response on their so called "live chat" platform.
It takes on average about 20 minutes for them to answer a call.
And on average 24 hours to respond (if they do respond).
You should just remove your so called "support" department completely
