Arsys is one of the larger European based hosting providers. They are physically based out of Spain, and offer high quality services to people throughout the region and beyond. They currently boast that they have 275,000 clients hosting over 1.5 million sites, which is quite impressive.
They own their own data centers, which is always a positive. They even boast that since 2005 they have invested more than 35 million Euros back into their data centers and communications network. This is a nice indication that they are committed to providing high quality services today and long into the future. They have three data centers to help allow them to serve a global customer base.
I didn’t find any uptime guarantee listed on their site, which is unfortunate. Even though uptime guarantees are often not too accurate, it is still nice to have them there in case something happens. From what I can tell, however, they use only high quality hardware in their data centers, and they have great redundancy for things like power and network connections. Based on that, and the fact that I did not find any of their current or former customers complaining about the reliability, I would have to say that it is not going to be an issue.
Arsys offers a number of different packages in each of their hosting categories. This includes shared hosting, VPS, cloud hosting and dedicated servers. With all their hosting packages you will get a free domain name for as long as you use their hosting. This is a nice little perk, especially for those who are just starting out with their website.
They do have limitations on most of their packages including limits on data transfer and disk space. These limits are quite reasonable, however, so they shouldn’t be a concern for most people. In fact, looking at the limits may actually help you to choose the right package for what your sites need.
They allow both linux and windows hosting, which is always nice.
They offer good quality technical support that is able to help you with just about any type of issue. The one concern I have in this area is that they say they will answer all inquiries within 24 hours. This is a long time to wait if your site is down or having issues. Most hosting companies respond within an hour or less.
Looking through all the different packages, you will see that their pricing is fairly normal across the board. If you just pay month to month, the prices may seem a little bit high, but really nothing to be concerned about.
There isn’t too much to complain about with this company. They seem to operate a very good company, and they have been helping people for years. If you want hosting from a company based in Europe, this is a nice option to consider.
