Flawless service

Flawless experience with this VPS provider. I moved over my instances from DigitalOcean (which was incredibly slow) and I’m getting BETTER performance here for a much lower cost. I would seriously recommend considering RackNerd for your VPS deployments.

Very Slow Support and Poor Handling of a Simple Bandwidth Issue

The support service is simply terrible. I have been using this hosting provider for more than two years, and from time to time I exceed the allowed bandwidth limit. This used to be fixed in about 5 minutes by purchasing an additional bandwidth package. For some reason, I still cannot buy this upgrade myself from the control panel, so I have to contact support every time.

This time, the issue took 3 hours to resolve. It took 2 hours before I was even able to pay the invoice, and then I had to wait another full hour for the service to be added. This was very disappointing.

Support replies only about once every 30 minutes.

This kind of service may be acceptable for some people, but I am now seriously considering moving to another provider.

This company is absolute trash

This company is absolute trash! They literally took my servers offline and distributed my business because of false claims of a competitor! I have no way to get my data or backups off my servers. If you care about your business at all avoid this company like the plague! They can disrupt your service whenever they feel like, if your a startup like I am this can kill your company and business

Running 36 nodes here!

Alright, so I've been using Racknerd to run my 35 (well 36 to be exact) nodes for coming up on 15 months now and honestly, I‘ve got to give credit where it’s due. I've had my fair share of experiences with other providers (cough contabo… cough), and they always left a little something to be desired.. or rather a lot more to be desired. With these guys, though, it feels like they've really managed to figure out how to deliver a service that actually performs well and stays online.

Now what really grabbed me about these guys is their customer service. Pretty top-notch stuff for what I pay. There's always someone available to help you out, and they actually know what they're talking about. None of that generic 'have you tried turning it off and on again' nonsense. It's more like you've got a personal friend at your disposal. They’ve been super friendly to talk with and even helped me with the deployment of my 35 nodes. I contacted them a few times at night and a couple times in the day and each time I’ve managed to get a response back

But I guess if I have to pick nits, their user interface could be a bit more intuitive. It's not horrible by any means, but I did have a slight learning curve in the beginning. That being said, once you get the hang of it, it's smooth sailing. You gotta log into two portals one for the billing and support portal and one for the VPS controls which they call “nerdvm”. Just a small bump to get a bit used to, otherwise seamless experience.

When it comes to pricing, they’re pretty reasonable - you're definitely getting your money's worth. Plus, they often run some great deals and discounts, so keep an eye out for those.

So yeah, if you're in the market for a solid and reliable hosting node provider, I'd definitely recommend giving Racknerd a fair shot. You can do what I did and try them out for one node then add more when you are happy with how things turn out. In my case I started out with one then turned up 35 more a week later once I was satisfied with the flow of things. They've got a good thing going on over there for sure.

Racknerd shared hosting could not go the distance and staff could not help.

Initially, this was a good company to deal with, but could not (or would not) help when it mattered. I had hosting with a prior provider who used CPANEL and when I migrated there were buggy issues. Maybe there was a conflict with CPANEL versions or software versions of PHP, or whatever. I have several domains and many of the site content folders could not align with the correct domain name. That means that domains were pointing to the wrong content. I opened a ticket with Racknerd and explained the situation and what I wanted. Domain A pointed to content A, Domain B pointed to content B and so on. What I got was domain E, F, and G pointed to domain A. I have used CPANEL for years and this should be a non-issue but it was. I opened more than one ticket and the tech support response said was 'everything is fine and as it should be'. Well, it is not fine. This is not what I want. You can clearly see the wrong content pointed to the wrong domain name and they do not match. Yet, there was nothing they could do. I said I would leave and RackNerd support said they were fine with that. I tried to escalate the issue, but guess what? If you look at RackNerd's site, I mean *really* look, you will notice there is no additional contact. The RackNerd site has pictures of the executive offices, but no executives. No name or person accountable for the company. (Really?!? The place is run by ghosts?!?) No one you can voice your grievance to and say 'hey, I have a problem that your company should be able to fix, but cannot or will not. ' I used the chat interface and asked if I could escalate my ticket and the chat said my only option was just to open a ticket. I tried that route but that did not work out. All I see on the RackNerd site is a mailing address. So potentially, on a problem where I need a relatively quick response, I have to wait at least a week for a letter to *maybe* get to an executive, if I knew who to address the letter to. I transferred to another hosting providers and they had zero issues with helping point the correct domain to the correct content. In fact, it was the first thing sorted during migration. RackNerd gave no refund for my grievances. Money lost over what should have been an easy issue to resolve and no one accountable with the company to turn to. When it really matters, don't use RackNerd. Their service only goes so far.

Oh, the denial. I have tried to contact management, that's why I wrote this review. No accountability. There is no option to escalate. On the 'About Me', it is still your office furniture running things. No people. No wonder the service is dysfunctional.

Yes, RackNerd is not as knowledgeable as they like to believe but worse is that they are not accountable. They provide information that is untrue and do not provide solutions. It has been an extremely frustrating relationship. I have lost so much data and wish I left sooner. I am sorry you have issues too. However, I am glad to read that I am not the only one.

Probably the best provider...period

After some pretty poor previous experiences with VPS providers, I discovered Racknerd a few years back. I purchased a couple of KVM's from them and was pleasantly surprised by the quality (the Ryzen servers are blindingly fast). There was no signs of overselling the resources or any impact from other node users. From there I expanded to the present 5 services and have never been happier. The VPS's are production reliable for my customers, tech support, when needed, is quick, helpful, friendly and, most import, efective, not that there have been any of importance.

The guys at Racknerd have proved time and again to go above and beyond in the sales and service they offer and a genuine desire to look after the customers and offer them custom solutions where required. They seem to genuinly want to be provide the best service available.

I don't have any affiliation with Racknerd or anyone who works there but I can genuinely recommend them to anyone looking for a great value, reliable and fast VPS service. Thanks to all the team at Racknerd for a genuinely great experience. You make my life easier by have a service I can rely on. Your efforts are sincerely appreciated.

Hands-down the best web hosting service!

Bad experience. They block the account.

I have content websites in racknerd shared hosting account.
One day thay blocked all account. And after this they asked me what type of websites I'm host on their hosting :)
And they consider the traffic suspicious. Although these are typical websites with traffic mainly from search engines.

Second. Hosting is often working slow.
IP addresses are often blocked, even my IP addresses!

P.S. After chatting with them they suggested a solution to the problem - transferring the account to another server.

great customer service!

great customer service. You will seriously not find another hosting company that care's as much as these guys do! You can tell there staff put care and pride in everything they do. If anyone is looking for a web hosting provider the first one I'd recommend would be RackNerd.
