Servers Australia is, as the name implies, offers hosting servers to people throughout Australia as well as New Zealand. They primarily offer higher end hosting including dedicated servers, cloud hosting, colocation services, and more. They don’t have shared hosting though, so those just looking to host a smaller site will want to go with another provider. The company began in 2006 and has been growing quickly ever since. They have won multiple awards including the Central Coast Business Excellence Award in 2014 and 2015, and the Wyong Regional Chamber of Commerce 2014 and 2015 Annual Business Award.
From the beginning, they have had a passion about putting quality of service over just quantity of customers. To their benefit, this has helped them to attract a large number of customers as well, and continues to do so. Anyone who is running a busy site, a site that needs heavy system resources, or a page that demands exceptional uptime will want to consider this hosting solution.
Uptime & Reliability
Redundant Services for Excellent Reliability
Anyone who uses this hosting company can expect an extremely reliable system. They have a 100% network uptime guarantee, which essentially means your service won’t go down due to their network or power equipment. They also do a great job keeping their hardware up to date so the risk of hardware failure remains very low. With technical staff on site at all the datacenters, they can also respond to issues very quickly so they will have problems addressed right away.
Features Focused on Quality
One of the best features about working with this company is that you can have your site hosted in one of 11 different datacenters located throughout Australia. This is a great way to make sure your website is physically located near your target audience. The specific hosting features include colocation options that allow you to place anywhere from a single server up to full racks of devices into their datacenters, 500+ racks, ISO9001:2008 Certification, and more.
Virtual servers are all run on modern servers built for web hosting, which include Xeon E5 processors. You’ll have access to a 1Gbit port to ensure fast response times, and many other excellent benefits. The dedicated servers can be custom built to your exact specifications to ensure you get exactly what you need. You can even choose which datacenter you want it hosted in. The list of features for each type of hosting is just too long to give here, but suffice it to say, they work hard on behalf of their customers to provide best in class hosting features.
Top of the Line Customer Support
The technical support teams do a great job at watching their network and datacenter environments 24/7. When they find issues, they take action to get it fixed before it causes any type of outage or other customer impacting problems. If you need to get in touch with them to talk through an issue, they are available to work with you to help no matter where the issue lays. You can get information from their support center, live chat, blog, or other resources provided on their website.
You Get what You Pay For
This is definitely not one of the cheapest hosting providers out there, but it isn’t the most expensive either. They clearly took a lot of time to determine their pricing based on the exact features and equipment used. VPS’s start at about $20 and go up to over $200, with a big range of RAM, CPU Cores, and other features available. The dedicated servers are going to cost anywhere from nearly $300 all the way up to over $1000 per month depending on the specs you need. If you just need colocation services, the prices are based on the type of rack you need, how much space you need, and other things. The price will include the space in the rack, the power, the network connection, datacenter support, and more.
Very Helpful & Focused on Quality User Experience
When browsing through their website you will see that they have everything organized in such a way as to make it very easy to find what you need. Sometimes you need to scroll down several pages to find the prices, which is mildly inconvenient, but beyond that there are no issues. If you need live help, you can get in touch with their service team quickly and easily to get the assistance you need. No matter what it is you need, they will be more than happy to assist to ensure you are happy.
Australian Hosting For Higher End Sites
Anyone who needs hosting for a higher end web experience in Australia will want to look at this provider. They started off with great services, and have only grown and expanded over the years. The vast majority of customers who have commented on this company have found them to be very good and able to meet all their needs.
I signed up to Servers Australia and they have wasted my time and money by deploying faulty server, imaging it with evaluation server copy. Mick the Salesman, told his techs not to assist us, when nothing worked and started to upsell.
I will never recommend him or Servers Australia to anyone.
I wish I could give them minus 10
We where paying about $500 for all the extras support etc, after years of repetitive security issue we canceled the service, their website marketing is dishonest and misleading promising thinks they just cant delivery on such as secure hosting, fastest speeds and no contracts, now they are billing us again after we canceled weeks earlier and charging late payment fees for services we no longer use.
We now pay a fraction of that cost and have a truly secure service - Bottom line shop around there are much better options.
Whenever we need remote hands or technical advice, they go out of their way to assist us. They are easy to get ahold of and their CEO is very much customer-focused with an emphasis on solving problems. Not sure what the other reviews are about on here, as it definitely does not reflect the experience we have had.
Our servers are hosted in the original EQX-SY1 facility. Would gladly recommend!
Servers OK for servers but bad service and virtually no to little support, if you are good at Linux or windows servers technical side of things and you can manage your servers yourself they are passable but not that great. I don't normally write up reviews but lately SA has been really lacking quality of service. They need to improve their customer service big time.
I have had nothing but issues with Servers Australia.
The customer support is beyond horrible and slow. Expensive and not worth the effort. They often set things up incorrectly or don't actually complete the process and it then takes 2 days to get a response and another day to have it fixed, which you then have to review and go back to your ticket to say it wasn't done correctly or completed.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This company has the worst servers I have ever used. They were running really slow and we lost customers, lots of time trying to diagnose problems constantly and lost a lot of money. I don't usually post bad news very rarely but when they are still charging me for a service which I am not using and did not perform as they said it would and also they are threatening to take invoices to a collection agency. This is not how you treat your valued customers.
I am using their dedicated hosting to support my business website and I am happy I chose them. They were recommended to me by another business owner and they said how reliable their site is. This may not be the cheapest option but it is the best in Australia.
