The Full Testing Experience: Step by Step

I built a complete website for a fictional specialty coffee shop called “The Daily Grind” using nothing but a written prompt.

Here is exactly what happened at every stage, and what I made of it.

Step 4: The Finished Site

Aria had created a second call to action because my prompt emphasized ordering, and it placed it logically further down the page.

The “Sourced with Care” section: This is the part I want to dwell on, because it is where Harmony genuinely surprised me. I had mentioned “ethically-traded beans” in my prompt. That was the extent of the detail I provided.

I did not write that. I did not provide those sourcing regions. Aria inferred them from the brief, added plausible, specific details, and produced copy that a small-business owner would typically spend an hour writing and still not feel confident about.

That is not template filling. That is contextual content generation, and it is the single most impressive thing Harmony does.

Alongside the copy, Aria surfaced a domain suggestion proactively: it had identified that thelatestgrind.com was available and showed a “Connect Domain” button without me asking.

Step 5: Previewing the Site

I clicked Preview before touching the editor. The preview mode shows both desktop and mobile views via a toggle in the top bar.

At desktop width (1444px), the site looked clean, fast, and professional. The warm cream and off-white palette was consistent throughout. The hero image was full-bleed and atmospheric. The typography held together across every section.

The free plan shows a thin banner reading “Upgrade your website to remove Wix ads” in preview, and “Built on WIX Harmony” on the live published version.

It is a small bar, not a full-page interruption, but it is visible to every visitor. If you are testing before committing to a paid plan, factor this in.

The only meaningful gap I noticed: specific menu prices had not been filled in, which makes sense given I had not provided that data. The page structure and app infrastructure were in place. The actual items were not.

Step 6: The Editor in Detail

Once I had seen the generated result, I moved into the editor to understand what I could actually change and how much control I had.

This matters because AI generation is only half the product. The editing layer is where you live after the first five minutes.

• The dynamic action bar: The toolbar at the top changes based on what element you have selected. The AI-generated copy is specific enough to actually use.

 This is the feature that matters most, and it is the one that most AI builders get wrong. Aria did not produce generic placeholder text. It inferred that an ethically sourced coffee brand would partner with small-scale farmers in specific regions and wrote Ethiopia and Colombia into the About section, unprompted.

The transparent planning phase makes AI feel like a collaborator.
