On the VPS order screen, I could compare monthly, quarterly, six-month, annual, two-year, and three-year billing. Longer commitments showed discounts or free months, while extra IP addresses added to the total. It was useful to see the complete term charge before ordering.
There was no standalone free VPS trial advertised during my review. Instead, Infrawire’s refund policy offers eligible first VPS payments a seven-calendar-day money-back window. Web, mail, and WordPress hosting have the same stated period, while eligible dedicated servers generally have two days. Domains are not refundable after registration. Check the conditions before paying for a long term.
Payment options include cards, PayPal, bank transfers, cryptocurrencies and regional methods, with Apple Pay or Google Pay supported where offered. My checkout also showed Alipay and optional gateway charges. I would confirm the final amount on the invoice, especially if you choose a payment method that adds a fee.
For an ordinary business website, I would compare the managed cPanel or WordPress plans before choosing a VPS. The VPS gives you more technical control, but you also take on responsibility for updates, configuration, monitoring, and backups.
For performance, I wanted to know what Infrawire’s VPS hardware can actually handle, not just what its plan card promises. I tested CPU processing, memory throughput, disk I/O, network transfers, and short periods of sustained load. Those results help you judge the server as a potential home for websites, APIs, databases, and background services. They do not, by themselves, prove page-load speed or production uptime.
I selected VPS Bronze in France with Debian 13. In the plan grid I used, Bronze sat above VPS Entry and below the larger Silver and Gold configurations. It was the middle-ground option for someone who needs room for an application and database without paying for a high-capacity server.
The comparison below uses the specifications displayed during my ordering session; it is not a benchmark of every Infrawire tier.
Linux VPS options shown during checkout
| Plan | vCores | RAM | NVMe | Link |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| VPS Entry | 2 | 4 GB | 40 GB | 2.5 Gbps |
| VPS Bronze (tested) | 4 | 8 GB | 80 GB | 5 Gbps |
| VPS Silver | 8 | 16 GB | 150 GB | 5 Gbps |
| VPS Gold | 12 | 24 GB | 180 GB | 10 Gbps |
| VPS Platinum | 16 | 32 GB | 200 GB | 10 Gbps |
The Bronze listing promised four vCores, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, 80 GB of NVMe storage, and a 5 Gbps connection advertised with unlimited traffic.
That makes it a plausible starting point for a modest business website, several small services, or a development environment. It is not the same product as Infrawire’s hourly cloud, dedicated servers, or cPanel hosting, so these figures should not be applied to those services.
The terminal log was captured on October 20, 2026, from a server named vps28937120. Debian GNU/Linux 13 was installed, the CPU was identified as an Intel Xeon Gold 6248 at 2.50 GHz, and the system exposed four logical CPUs and 7.8 GiB of usable RAM. At the start of testing, around 7.3 GiB was reported as available. This is reassuring for CPU and RAM allocation, though it describes an almost idle server rather than a loaded application.
One specification did not line up cleanly: the root filesystem showed 50 GB, with roughly 46 GB available, versus the 80 GB of NVMe storage on the order card.
The log includes only the mounted root filesystem, not a full list of block devices, so I cannot establish if the remaining space was unallocated, attached separately, or absent. I would verify the full disk layout before putting customer data on this plan.
I used sysbench to calculate prime numbers up to 20,000, first on one thread and then across all four threads. The single-thread run delivered 342.58 events per second; the four-thread run reached 1,284.96 events per second. That is about 3.75 times the one-thread throughput in this particular ten-second benchmark.
The practical value is that the VPS could use multiple vCPUs effectively when the workload supported parallel processing. A small API serving several requests, a WordPress site running PHP workers, or scheduled background tasks can all benefit from having four execution threads rather than two.
However, those figures do not tell me how many simultaneous shoppers or API requests it can support. That would require testing the actual application, database, caching, and request pattern.
I would treat this as a workable general-purpose CPU result, not a claim that Bronze is ideal for compute-heavy analytics, video encoding, or large builds. Those jobs may justify Infrawire’s higher-tier configurations, but a direct comparison would need the same benchmark on those tiers.
The sysbench memory test moved 10 GiB using 1 KiB operations. It recorded 4,983.74 MiB/s for sequential reads and 3,909.09 MiB/s for writes. There were no failures in either run. These are throughput figures from a synthetic memory workload, not a measurement of database query latency or the time a website takes to respond.
For business use, the more important starting point is the 8 GB class of RAM. It should give a carefully configured small Linux stack space for an application process, web server, database, and caching service.
But memory usage can rise sharply with multiple containers, PHP workers, or an expanding database. The system also reported no swap configured. I would monitor memory after deployment and add a sensible recovery plan rather than assume a mostly idle machine will stay comfortable during busy periods.
Next I ran fio. Sequential reads reached 561 MiB/s (approximately 588 MB/s), while sequential writes reached 443 MiB/s (about 465 MB/s). Although the test headings referred to 1 GB, fio’s recorded 30-second runs transferred around 16.4 GiB of read data and 13.0 GiB of write data. I am reporting the actual fio output rather than implying that each measurement came from a single 1 GB transfer.
Sequential throughput matters when moving large files, exporting backups, or restoring media. For a CMS or a transactional app, smaller random operations are often just as relevant. In the mixed 4 KiB test, fio measured approximately 9,967 read IOPS and 9,967 write IOPS, each transferring around 38.9 MiB/s.
Those results suggest the storage handled the tested mixed workload, but they are not a guarantee of query speed once the application and database compete for I/O.
For a small online store or agency client site, I would expect this storage to be a useful starting point, provided the total allocation is confirmed and backups are in place. I would be more cautious about write-intensive databases and workloads with strict tail-latency requirements; those need application-level tests and disk latency measurements, not just headline bandwidth.
The first Ookla run recorded 3,797.53 Mbps download and 8,413.79 Mbps upload. A second run to the same Surfshark endpoint in New York recorded 7,045.47 Mbps download and 9,019.53 Mbps upload. Both runs reported 0.0% packet loss. The download result changed substantially between runs, so I would not treat the faster figure as a normal guaranteed rate.
These are impressive transfer speeds, particularly for businesses that regularly upload large files, transfer databases, or move backups between servers. A development team deploying large application builds or an agency migrating client websites could benefit from this network capacity.
The upload results were particularly encouraging, exceeding 8 Gbps in both runs. That provides substantial headroom for transferring data out of the server, although actual speeds will also depend on the receiving server, network conditions, and any bandwidth restrictions.
However, high bandwidth does not automatically translate into fast website loading times. For an online store, booking platform, or customer-facing application, the time taken to process requests, retrieve database records, and deliver page content matters just as much. The 0% packet loss was another positive result, but two successful tests cannot establish long-term network reliability.
Finally, I used stress-ng for three separate 180-second runs: four CPU workers, two memory workers, and two disk I/O workers. All three tests completed, with no failed stressors reported. The CPU run recorded 735,155 bogo operations, while the memory and disk jobs also ended successfully. That is a positive sign that the VM stayed available through these short synthetic workloads.
I would not turn this into an uptime guarantee. The tests ran for three minutes per resource class, not for days under production traffic, and the log does not show CPU steal time, thermal throttling, response-time degradation, or a monitoring history.
It also does not show how a live website behaves while the VPS is stressed. For a business relying on payment processing, lead forms, or a customer-facing API, the next step would be a repeatable application load test plus monitoring over several days.
The server delivered encouraging results across CPU, memory, storage, and network testing. Four CPU threads achieved 1,284.96 events per second, sequential disk reads reached 561 MiB/s, and network speeds exceeded 7 Gbps for downloads in the faster run. All three 180-second stress tests also completed without reported failures.
For businesses running small to moderately demanding applications, development environments, or database-backed websites, these results suggest capable underlying resources. The storage performance should support routine file operations and database activity, while the CPU and memory results provide a promising foundation for running several services together.
My main reservation is that these were infrastructure benchmarks rather than tests of a complete production application. I did not measure website loading times, concurrent user capacity, or long-term uptime. Those factors matter considerably for online stores and other revenue-generating services.
Overall, the tested server performed well in the workloads I measured. I would consider the results promising for general-purpose hosting and application workloads, but I would still benchmark the intended production configuration before relying on it for business-critical operations.
A VPS can have generous specifications and still be frustrating to buy or manage. For this test, I followed the journey a new Infrawire customer would take: compare the available servers, configure a VPS, register, submit an order, and find the next step in the customer console.
I paid particular attention to how clearly the interface explained the choices and whether it helped me understand what would happen next.
I started on Infrawire’s homepage. The View all plans button did not send me through another product selector; it scrolled directly to the pricing section.
From there, I could change the billing term, choose a server location, and compare Linux VPS packages on one screen. That made the first stage quick, although the number of hosting categories in the adjacent Offers menu could take a new buyer a moment to sort out.
The plan grid showed VPS Entry, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. I chose VPS Bronze because its advertised 4 vCores, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, and 80 GB of NVMe storage gave me more room to run hands-on tests than Entry, without moving up to the larger Silver or Gold plans.
Its listed monthly price was $16.33, with a 5 Gbps unlimited-traffic connection advertised on the card. Those are plan specifications, not independent performance measurements.
Location availability was visible before I ordered. France, Germany, and Hong Kong could be selected, while the UK, Netherlands, Turkey, and USA were marked out of stock in this session. I kept France.
Infrawire also displayed a ping value for each available location, which can help with an initial choice, but the browser-to-location ping is not a substitute for testing the VPS once it is running.
Clicking Order opened a configuration window without abandoning the plan page. The first panel offered six prepaid terms: one, three, six, 12, 24, or 36 months. Discounts and free-month offers appeared beside the longer commitments, with the amount payable for each term on the same row.
I liked seeing the full-term charges before moving on, particularly because the pricing grid initially shows a monthly rate. The order summary remained visible at the bottom throughout.
Next came the location and operating system. The location picker grouped data centers by Europe, North America, and Asia, and greyed out unavailable destinations instead of letting me discover the stock problem after placing an order. For the operating system, Ubuntu 22.04 appeared as the initial choice.
I changed it to Debian 13; the same area also listed Debian 11 and 12, plus tabs for Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Fedora, Kali Linux, and Windows. There were separate Applications and My scripts tabs, although I did not test a preconfigured application or custom deployment script.
This is a useful level of control for an experienced VPS buyer. The trade-off is that Infrawire expects you to understand the difference between operating systems and self-managed server software; it did not provide a decision guide in the configuration window.
Choosing Debian 13 was straightforward for me, but a first-time VPS owner may need to check which OS their application or control panel supports.
I also checked the Server options section. It left additional IP addresses off by default, so the VPS price stayed at $16.33. Adding one, two, or three extra IPs showed surcharges of $2.23, $4.47, and $6.70 respectively in the order window. I appreciated that these were optional selections rather than preselected extras.
The payment selector offered a credit card, PayPal, bank transfer, cryptocurrencies, Alipay, a Russia-specific card route, and account credit for signed-in customers. Some gateways displayed an additional fee.
One detail needs clarification. The ordering screen labeled Alipay with a 3% gateway fee, but the later invoice payment panel displayed 5%. I did not select Alipay, so I cannot say which fee would ultimately apply, but customers using it should verify the amount before paying.
I reached account creation within the same order window. Infrawire offered both a conventional form for name, email, and password and a Continue with Google option. I used Google sign-in. The window then showed that I was signed in and let me accept the terms of sale, refund policy, and fair-use policy before pressing Create a new order. I did not have to leave the configuration process to locate a separate registration page.
After I submitted the order, Infrawire redirected me to its console and generated an invoice. I also received an order-confirmation email immediately.
This step is easy to misread. The invoice was marked Unpaid, and the VPS had not yet appeared as an active service. Creating the order did not itself activate the server. The invoice offered bank card, PayPal, SEPA transfer, cryptocurrency, and other payment routes, with a Pay invoice button to continue.
There was also a currency change to notice. I configured Bronze at $16.33 in the storefront, but the invoice displayed EUR 14.55, with 0% VAT on that particular invoice. These amounts appear consistent with a currency conversion, although the switch is still something I would double-check before authorizing a payment.
The invoice details also named bank transfer as the payment method while the payment panel had bank card selected. Until payment is completed, I would treat that as a display inconsistency rather than proof that a charge was taken incorrectly.
Verdict: Registration and Ordering
Infrawire made the purchase setup relatively painless. I could compare servers, see location stock, change the OS, review optional charges, and register without losing the order summary.
The main weaknesses were the amount of technical choice presented without guidance and the payment-screen details that deserve verification. Most importantly, the interface creates an order before the server is provisioned, so buyers should not mistake the confirmation email for a running VPS.
After order submission, I opened the Infrawire console. Its left sidebar separated the account into recognizable areas: Services (Servers, Services, Hourly Cloud, Domain names, and Scripts), Network (including Network and IP Marketplace), Business Services (Reseller), Assistance (Tickets), and Account. A search field with a Ctrl+K shortcut sat across the top. Rather than hiding every feature behind one generic menu, Infrawire made the main destinations visible from the start.
The main page answered the most immediate billing question well. It showed EUR 14.55 in invoices for the month and placed an Unpaid invoices notice directly below the summary cards, with a Settle my invoices button.
The other cards showed zero active services, zero open tickets, and zero renewals. I did not have to hunt through account settings to work out why I could not manage the VPS yet.
The dashboard was less focused in its use of space. A large banner for hourly cloud servers appeared above the account statistics, and the no-active-service state took up much of the page with promotional explanations and another order button.
Those sections may help someone exploring Infrawire’s products, but they push the information an existing customer wants farther down the screen. The separate Hourly Cloud and Servers entries could also make a newcomer pause to work out which one relates to their monthly VPS purchase.
For everyday navigation, though, the structure looks sensible. I could see where server services, invoices, networking, and support tickets belonged, and the outstanding payment was surfaced clearly. The screenshot does not yet show what the Servers page looks like with an active VPS, so I cannot judge the power controls, console access, reinstallation tools, or cPanel experience from this empty dashboard.
Verdict: Dashboard
Infrawire’s dashboard is well-organized and easy to navigate. The sidebar provides direct access to servers, networking, billing, and support, while the main panel makes account status and outstanding payments easy to track. Although the promotional sections take up considerable space, they do not complicate navigation. Overall, it provides a good starting point for managing hosting services, though its server-management tools still need hands-on testing.
Good support matters more after a VPS goes live, but I also want to know if a provider can resolve a straightforward account question before taking payment. I looked at Infrawire’s support options, submitted a real billing ticket, and examined its documentation to see how much help is available without contacting an agent.
Infrawire offers several ways to get help. They do not all have the same purpose or working hours:
There is an important availability distinction. The new-ticket screen said tickets could be submitted at any time, but replies were normally sent Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. CET/CEST.
Infrawire’s broader website also advertises around-the-clock support and a 24/7 network operations function. I would not treat those statements as a guarantee of immediate general ticket replies at all hours; the staffed ticket window is the clearest guidance shown during my test.
From the dashboard I opened Assistance, then Tickets. The page displayed previous requests in a simple table and placed a New ticket button at the upper right.
Above the table, it encouraged me to check the documentation first and linked directly to the tutorial library. That is useful for routine setup questions, but the button to reach a person remained easy to find.
Selecting New ticket opened a single-page form with fields for a subject, department, and detailed message, as well as attachments. The panel displayed the support schedule before the fields, so the expected working hours were not hidden until after submission.
The department menu offered Service commercial, Service facturation, and Service technique. I chose Service facturation for billing. The French department names were understandable in context, but they stood out in an otherwise English-language interface.
I did not ask a generic question simply to generate a ticket. During checkout, VPS Bronze was advertised at $16.33 per month, while the unpaid invoice was issued for €14.55 and identified bank transfer as the payment method despite my card selection.
I wanted to know if the currency difference involved extra fees, whether the payment-method label could cause a problem, and whether the server would be activated automatically after payment.
Ticket #1464 was opened on October 20, 2026 at 2:55 p.m. The reply appeared at 2:57 p.m., approximately two minutes later. For an account and billing enquiry, that is an excellent turnaround, especially since I received an actual written response rather than an automated acknowledgement.
Ihtissam Rahman answered the three points in the same order I raised them. He confirmed that the difference between the dollar listing and euro invoice was a currency conversion without an additional charge.
He said paying by bank card would not be affected by the invoice’s bank-transfer label, and that VPS provisioning would happen automatically after payment.
The reply felt personal and reassuring, rather than templated. I did not need to chase the agent or rephrase the questions. The weaker part was the depth: the answer did not explain why the invoice retained the bank-transfer label, show the conversion rate used, or give an expected provisioning time.
It resolved what I needed to know before paying, but it was a concise assurance rather than a detailed account investigation. I also had not completed payment, so I could not independently verify the automatic provisioning claim at this stage.
Verdict: Ticket Support
The strongest result was the response time: roughly two minutes from submission to a relevant human reply. Ihtissam covered every question and gave me a clear next step, making this a good billing-support experience.
However, one pre-sales ticket does not establish how well Infrawire handles outages or difficult server issues, and the explanation could have been more precise about the invoice mismatch.
After the ticket test, I followed the Browse our documentation link from the Tickets page. It opened Infrawire’s public tutorial library, so I did not need to sign into another help portal. The landing page had a prominent search box, a Latest tutorials section, and topic cards. Finding a relevant VPS guide was considerably easier than scrolling through a long alphabetical index.
The organization is especially useful if you already know the kind of server you manage. At the time of my review, the site showed 33 VPS/VDS articles, split into 20 Linux and 13 Windows tutorials; Dedicated servers had four articles and Web had one. Entries carried short descriptions and difficulty labels such as beginner or intermediate, making it easier to judge if a guide matched your experience before opening it.
The coverage is practical rather than purely introductory. I found topics such as SSH security, Docker, Redis, Node.js, Linux backups, network diagnostics, Remote Desktop, and Windows services.
That is useful for a self-managed VPS customer who needs to configure software after deployment. The imbalance is clear, though: someone looking for detailed web-hosting or dedicated-server guidance has far fewer articles to choose from.
To assess an individual article, I opened Install WireGuard VPN on a VPS. It did more than list commands. The guide began with prerequisites, moved into installation using a third-party script, explained client configuration for multiple operating systems, and included firewall rules, verification commands, troubleshooting, and FAQs. Code blocks and descriptive subheadings made it relatively easy to locate a particular stage or return to an error-checking step.
I liked that the article carried the process through to confirming the VPN connection instead of stopping after installation. Still, it relies on a script hosted outside Infrawire, which is convenient but something I would inspect before running with elevated privileges.
More importantly, I reviewed the instructions and structure; I did not execute the WireGuard procedure on a running Infrawire VPS, so this was not a hands-on verification that every command works on the Debian 13 image I ordered.
The library also concentrates on configuring software rather than resolving account and invoice questions. For the mismatch I encountered during checkout, contacting billing was the better route. That separation is not necessarily a problem, but it limits how much the documentation can replace live help.
Verdict: Knowledge Base
Infrawire’s tutorials are easy to browse and particularly helpful for Linux and Windows VPS owners. The WireGuard guide was detailed enough to support a real setup attempt, with checks and troubleshooting rather than commands alone.
Infrawire made a strong first impression on support. The ticket area was easy to reach, its schedule and departmental routing were visible, and a human answered my billing questions in about two minutes. The documentation complements that experience with a clearly organized set of VPS tutorials that should reduce the need to contact staff for common administration tasks.
My main reservations are the limited explanation behind the invoice’s payment-method label, the narrower documented ticket-response hours despite broader support claims, and the thin self-help coverage outside VPS topics.
Based on this test, I am comfortable recommending Infrawire’s billing-ticket process and VPS documentation as useful starting points.
Yes. Infrawire is a solid choice for developers, small businesses, and website owners looking for flexible hosting with reliable support.
My VPS benchmarks delivered impressive CPU, storage, and network results, while all three stress tests completed successfully. I also found the ordering process straightforward, the dashboard easy to navigate, and customer support exceptionally responsive.
I particularly recommend Infrawire for businesses that need VPS flexibility without paying for a dedicated server. Its cPanel and WordPress hosting options also cater to users who prefer simpler website management. However, the short refund window deserves attention, and businesses running demanding applications should test their workloads before committing to a long-term plan.

Infrawire looks promising for developers and small businesses that need control over their server. My CPU, storage, and network benchmarks were strong, but I did not measure long-term uptime or full website performance.
I did not find an advertised free VPS trial. Eligible first VPS purchases instead have a seven-day money-back guarantee under Infrawire’s refund policy.
Eligible VPS, web, mail, and WordPress hosting orders have a seven-day refund window. Eligible dedicated servers generally have two days. Domain registrations are non-refundable after completion.
Infrawire says most VPS orders activate automatically within five minutes after payment clears. Fraud checks or special configurations can extend that to 30 minutes.
Infrawire sells cPanel hosting separately. Do not assume a standard Linux VPS includes cPanel or its licence; check the plan and configuration before ordering.
