Poor excuse of a "cPanel." It's a joke, really. DIFFICULT WordPress migration – and difficult is being nice. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Worst host I've ever worked with during my career as a developer. 99$ for WordPress migrations from different server. That's insane!
Where are the admins in Dreamhost? I upgraded my dedicated server to better handle my site. Turns out when there was a problem with the move from the old dedicated server to the new dedicated one, no one knew about it until I contacted Dreamhost live support for another issue. So I authorize the move back to the old dedicated server. I have been a loyal user of Dreamhost's services for 4 years, and when an issue this big occurs, the live chat is not available, and my support tickets are not being responded to.

I believe in Dreamhost because you guarantee 100% site uptime. But is not the case now. I have been suffering time outs at the same time of day everyday for the past 4 months. This is an urgent priority.

Further more, I spoke to another Dreamhost live support staff this afternoon and she not only brushed me off, she kicked me from the live support chat. This is an issue with increasing frustrations from me. Please resolve this issue for me ASAP.

The level of service that Dreamhost is providing has been slipping. I was a satisfied customer 4 years ago, and I can no longer say the same. I have no qualms uploading my chat transcript to social media to show how sorely lacking the support is. WOW, It has been three days since I have not been able to access my Dreamhost email / webmail and thus I have projects being held up for work as a direct result. Three days is far too long to have no access to one's email in any context. I have put in a few tickets with Support. Their first reply was they were sorry my account was impacted negatively by an onslaught of fraudulent or illegal user activity!?!? In other words, was my account hacked? Is my user info and email in tact? Did emails get lost, deleted, damaged? Who has my sensitive info now? I have put in two follow through attempts to reach a live chat person today and no one was available. I put in another request for support with a different ticket #. I even tried to reach their LA HQ via their 714/706.4182 number though I have little confidence that I will get immediate assistance to get my email account back up and functioning. I appreciate having Dreamhost to a point-- I urge them to bring on regular phone customer service for situations like mine where it's clear the customers are suffering for many days as a direct result of their inability to respond and fix an email account / mini server issue that you have done nothing to bring on or bring about. We chose this hosting company nearly 4.5 years ago to host several of our sites. During our tenure we went from virtual servers, shared servers and dedicated servers. Each time upgrading based on their recommendation. Their support team is helpful when you can get them. There is NO number on their website that I have been able to find to actually call in for support. I have used the chat support probably more than 20 times with average wait being what seemed like 10 minutes.
Once you reach someone yes they try to help in all cases except in canceling an account. Convoluted account page shows zero balance in some areas and yet when you try to cancel it shows a balance due. I emailed them to cancel the account and asked thru chat (only support I could find) and neither requests honored.
Bottom line is find a better hosting company, if you pay a couple bucks more a month it will be well worth it compared to the frustration you will suffer later.
I've been a customer for 5 years. Everything was great. All of sudden none of my sites were online. I tried contacting Dreamhost 3 times. And got nothing back. Finally I got into a chatbox with a virtual assistant who told me they were going to have a different part of their "team" contact me and open a "ticket." That team never contacted me. That was 2 months ago.
What they did send me was 3 requests for feedback for their customer service by email. Three times! I gave terrible reviews every time. And then they send me a request to review their site here.

I cant agree with you more. We are a cloud server customer and their virtual support people are completely unable to support or even provide any assistance when it comes to resolving problems. Thanks to Claudia, the online tech advisor with DreamHost, I was able to get my website back up. Actually, I didnt do anything-she did! I cut and paste the error message that came up instead of my website. She quickly read the error message, diagnosed the problem and then told me to deactivate the plug in that was causing the problem. I told Claudia I could not access the back side of my website at all. She said, "wait a minute" and after a maybe 2-3 minutes tops, my website was back up! Thank you Claudia!!
